Slim has been described as the ultimate working man's book and this very scarce first edition has been read by most of them!This book has been part of the Terminus Hygenic Library in Thornburg where all books were sterilised before reissue and there are numerous stamps and names inside the cover. Date stamps show that this book was in the library from 1936-1948. The covers are cracked away from the text and the spine has been sewed on to the cover by hand. The original dust jacket has been pasted on the cover and appears to have been varnished over to protect it. Pages are grubby and dog eared and one page in the centre is becoming loose. There are a number of small tears on pages and some corners missing but the text does not appear to have been affected. While the book is only in very fair condition it is a very scarce first edition. Scanned images of the book will be sent to anyone who is interested in purchasing this book $180.00
